Hi,

I'm Peter, a passionate games & music lover currently in the final stages of my study Communication & Multimedia Design at Avans University. This site contains several works I've done or participated in during my study and relevant free time projects.

(update 30-9-2015) Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I have decided to quit my study before graduation and I am now actively focussing on job opportunities. Work on my "Seaturtle Experience" project and learning the ins and outs of the Unity Engine will continue.

Gradually I'm learning new skills. I do not consided myself a typical developer or gamedesigner at the moment, but I have a holistic view on producing playful (learning) games/experiences. I hope to find more working experiences with a team in the near future and am aware i can learn a lot faster together with like-minded people. There's also a real possibility i will find a completely different job, but I hope fo find enough time to continue working/learning on esp. Unity skills. I should also update my website with some more examples of what i have learned working on sea turtle experience. I will try do make that happen soon.

Study Focus

The focus during my study has been on creative technology in the area of (serious) games design & development and more recently "Learning Experience Design" (LXD). I've working with Adobe Flash and Actionscript 3 for the past years, but since this technology is no longer in development and new/alternative software is quickly winning ground i've turned my attention to learn developing in the Unity games engine using Javascript, C#, and several prototype tools like Playmaker and Behavior designer.

Next to development i equally like being involved in game/interaction design in which i feel i can be a great value due to my recent knowledge of LXD which helps to design for meaningful learning outcomes/objectives. I also have a good amount of (retro) game knowledge build over throughout the years.

Latest work

Just Finished:

  • Minor learning experience design (LXD).
  • Currently working on:

  • Graduation project "Seaturtle Experience".
  • Ongoing learning game design and development with Unity.
  • About me

In my spare time I’m a fanatical game player and game collector. I enjoy collecting games (consoles) and acquired an extensive collection over the years. Another passion of mine is music. Playing guitar and listening to a variety of genres gives me great joy. I especially enjoy going to concerts or festivals.

During my graduation project I really enjoyed game design and development in Unity and hope to gain more experience both at work as in my free time.

    Soon!
